More studies show exercise positively impacts the brain as well as the rest of a persons body. Eric B. Larson, MD, the vice president of research at Group Health Cooperative stated ” if you stay physically active you are buying protection for the brain.”
In the latest study published in the Archives Of Internal Medicine over a four to six year period women were given cognitive and memory tests. The tests positively showed the women that stayed active had less cognitive decline and less memory loss.
The study also indicated the exercise did not require extensive programs, even daily brisk walking was enough to show improvement. There is tons of evidence pointing towards exercise and brain health so walk the stairs, put down the i pad, walk to the store and strengthen that brain.
