Sun Screen Ratings From Consumer Reports

With summer quickly approaching hopefully we will all be investing in sun screen. Consumer Reports rated the 18 best selling sun screens. The products tested ranged in price from .59 cents per ounce to $20.59 per ounce, SPF 30 to SPF 75 and they tested spray foams, lotions and sprays.

Researchers tested all the products for UVB and UVA, UVB is the radiation that causes sunburn and UVA rays are deeper penetrating rays that cause long term skin damage and age skin. The products were tested on people after they had been swimming for as long as 80 minutes.

Surprisingly some of the cheapest sun screens tested the best.
