Buona Vita Recalling 325,000 Pounds Of Frozen Meat-Possible Listeria

Bridgeton, New Jersey based Buona Vita Inc. is recalling nearly 325,000 pounds of frozen foods because of possible listeria bacteria contamination. The recall has been branded “class 1″ by the USDA which means there is a high risk of serious health consequences and possible death associated with the use of these products.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service listed some of the recalled products including frozen meatballs, meat patties, meat loafs, poultry products and other frozen meals.

Listeria infection can cause diarrhea, muscle ache, stiff neck, confusion, fever, gastric problems and convulsions.
