We have heard about cranberry juice being beneficial for urinary tract infections for a long time, now there is some proof.
Researchers analyzed multiple studies which included about 1,600 people and the results were very impressive for preventing urinary tract infections when the participants consumed cranberries. These studies evaluated results after participants consumed cranberry products, placebos or nothing. Study results revealed participants that consumed cranberry products had a 38 percent decrease in urinary tract infections.
What was even more impressive was women that had recurrent UTI’s had a 47 percent reduction of UTI’s while consuming cranberry products. Study results show drinking cranberry juice seemed to have better results than cranberry pills in preventing urinary tract infections.
