The National Football League has launched the NFL Life Line. The NFL Life Line is a 24 hour 7 days a week support system geared towards helping current and former players deal with mental and physical conditions.

There have been many players in recent years suffering with issues and some have lead to suicide, most recently Junior Seau. All calls and inquiries of course will be confidential. The NFL Life Line stresses the fact that players with issues such as financial problems, mental issues, declining health, substance abuse or just adapting to retirement there is help.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wrote “there is no higher priority for the National Football League than the health and wellness of our players.”
